How do you secure our data?
The PASS-PORT systems are located in the managed colocation space at a tier-4 data center: the Network Technology Group (NTG). We utilize NTG's monitored firewall services to protect the servers and implement best security practices - designed and configured by experts - on all of our systems. on all of our systems. All logins and all administrative access is secured through a 128-bit SSL encrypted connection. When you log in, you'll see the "lock" icon that ensures your information is safe. Additionally, all of your student and assessment data is stored on secure database servers that are not directly connected to the external network.

How is our data backed up?
We back up your data in multiple ways. Firstly, all student and faculty media - those files that they have uploaded as documentation or evidence - are backed up nightly to a robotic tape system with 6.4TB of storage. Additionally, all of the database information - which includes your PASS-PORT configuration, assessment data, and student records - is backed up twice daily to NTG's DataVault encrypted backup service. This data is then, in turn, backed up to a second off-site location once a night, providing you with multi-tired secure backups of your most precious information.
