PASS-PORT is a unique application.
Originally developed under a Louisiana Board of Regents grant to the Center for Innovative Learning and Assessment Technologies (CILAT), PASS-PORT was designed specifically to meet the assessment needs of higher education institutions and their accreditation bodies. Working closely with assessment experts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Xavier University, and many others throughout the state, the PASS-PORT team built a system with extensive input and feedback from university faculty and administration.
Few, if any, other assessment systems can stake such claims:
- PASS-PORT was designed by university faculty and administrators for university faculty and administrators.
- PASS-PORT has always used research literature, from journals and other publications, as a source for best practices to assessment problems.
- PASS-PORT has been in continuous use since 2001 with an extremely high success rate. As new and refined ideas and techniques have become available, PASS-PORT has grown to encompass them.
